About
Everyone has their own story regarding self-sufficiency. It doesn't matter if it's on a small or large scale, so long as it's happening.
Hello there
I'm CJ Steedman
I'm a farmer! I'm also a mum, a partner, a full-time off-farm worker and a passionate teacher.
On my farm, Mojo Homestead, I keep chickens, goats, cows, horses and bees. I produce meat from our chickens, goats and cows. We also produce eggs, milk, honey and mohair.
My goal is to produce has much as possible in a way that improves our environment and leaves our soil in perfect health.
My goal outside the farm is to educate people to produce what they can from their own environment. I would love to help you do just that.
CJ

New is not always best
The way things were done in the past was sometimes better! Putting a new spin on it means we can have the best of both.
Why I Do It
For many years I "assumed" everyone had the same knowledge and background as I did.
As time went on more and more people approached me asking questions like "my chicken has stopped laying" and "one of my girls has lost some feathers".
I then realised we have a knowledge divide for some. I want to bridge that gap and help everyone understand their "girls". Regardless if it's chickens, bees, goats or cows, I'm happy to help.
